The BWW100 series waterborne, water-resistant, wax-effect top-coats for exteriors protect wood against the atmospheric agents. They give the surface a matt effect and are particularly soft to touch.

Capacity

BWW100 series waterborne wax-effect top-coats for exterior have a capacity of 8m2 per can of 0,75l and of 25m2 per can of 2,5l.

Tools

They are applicable with synthetic bristle brush, to be washed with water after use.

Instructions

Raw wood:

  • Sand with 150 grit paper
  • Clean the surface with a cloth to remove any sanding residue
  • Apply the primer series BWC100 in the desired hue
  • After 4 hours, then apply a first coat of finish wax effect
  • Sand with 220 grit paper
  • Clean the surface with a cloth to remove any sanding residue
  • For better surface protection, after 4 hours, apply a second coat of finishing wax effect

Varnished wood:

  • If in good condition, clean with mild detergent
  • If there are any slight imperfections, sand with 220 grit paper
  • Clean the surface with a cloth to remove any sanding residue
  • Apply one coat finishing wax effect
  • If damaged grit sandpaper with a 80/120 to remove the paint before proceeding as for the raw wood.
